    Purpose


    To provide a professional and effective financial accounting services to the company. Ensuring that financial services aligns with and supports the achievements of the overall business objectives.


    Responsibilities / Duties


    Key Deliverables
    • Coordinate monthly financial data reporting process. To include preparation of accurate and timely data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and EFS ME policies, procedures and practice.
    • Manage agreed budget to deliver the defined service activities. Report any financial exceptions and other information as required.
    • Prepare accounts and reconcile balance sheets. Overseeing budgetary control and monitor cash flow.
    • Manage the integrity of all financial and management data. Ensure information is accurate and timely.
    • Co-ordinate the delivery of asset management and financial processes for KAEC contract. To include, customer billing, receivables, accruals, supplier payments, and payroll processing.
    • Manage the preparation and processing of journal transfers, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly accruals/prepayments adhering to EFS financial and accounting principles and standards.
    • Manage all reporting and contract governance requirements for the contract with KAEC.


    Advice and Support
    • Provide and interpret financial information, provide advice and support. Prepare reports and make presentations, as required.
    • Ensure that all employees and departments with financial accountabilities understand their responsibilities with regard to financial performance against budget.
    • Participate in strategic planning and formulating long-term business plans budgets and periodic forecasting. Analysing change and conducting risk assessment.
    • Monitor performance and efficiency of the staff and operations team through KPI’s.
    • Assist in the development, planning and implementation of financial policies, procedures and practices for EFS ME.
    • Identify and implement remedial action to correct variances on budget line items.
    • Assist in periodic audit for KAEC contract.
    Consultation and Communication
    • Develop, lead, motivate, and inspire a professional team enabling them to meet both personal and business targets. Provide clear operational direction and support to team.
    • Assess the financial implications of new or existing contracts. Identify opportunities to optimise contract viability through advising on key inputs. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
    • Assist in periodic audit for KAEC contract


    Consultation and Communication
    • Develop and foster productive and beneficial partnerships. Maintain regular communication using consultation with Financial Accounting Coordinators and Senior Management, Procurement and Operations team. Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting Standards and Policies.
    • Develop and manage effective communication channels between customers and the financial accounting. Manage customer needs and expectations.
    • Agree and review regularly performance objectives for each team member. Carry out appraisals and performance review. Use the process to improve employees who are not meeting requirements of role. Carry out regular reviews of the personal development plan and progress.


    Systems and Processes
    • Analyse existing work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies and service improvements.
    • Develop and manage audits of processes and procedures to measure quality assurances.
    • Implement rigorous and thorough control mechanisms for accounting functions and financial transactions. Use efficient, effective, and transparent financial administrative procedures that enable clear financial disclosure, accountability, monitoring and control.
    • Ensure compliance with financial legislation, statutory requirement, and internal control requirements.
    • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to service delivery that generates “added value” to the business.
    • Comply with all processes and procedures (Human Resources, HSEQ, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations) which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labour law.


    HSEQ
    • Management of HSEQ practices and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal obligations and regulations.
