Purchasing officer is responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods and services for the company at the most competitive prices and on given time.

Tasks typically involve:

• Purchase or contract for supplies, services and equipment required by any using agency, within the limits of the current budget, and in accordance with purchasing procedures defined by the company.
• Negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment
• Act to procure for the company the needed quality in supplies, services and equipment at least expense to the company
• Assisting purchasing manager on daily tasks and creating weekly, monthly and annual reports.
