A well respected medium sized transport and logistic company located in Jeddah – KSA is looking for key personnel to support their corporate objectives.


 


The role is applicable for the Jeddah and KSA West Coast region.

You are an accomplished senior sales / business development professional operating in the transport and logistics or allied sectors who is seeking the opportunity:

You are energetic, proactive and organised, and understand the consultative sales process. You have the skills and knowledge to become a trusted advisor to customers, to help them to improve their competitiveness from our transport and logistics solutions.

About the Role
Our organisation is seeking an experienced transport and logistics sector sales / business development representative to join our transport and logistics division.


 


The role is primarily responsible for developing relationships and the delivery of sales in commercially viable contracts within the Jeddah region, selected KSA markets and other key GCC markets.


 


As part of proactive team member of our marketing and sales team, the senior sales / business development role will be responsible for the development of our organisation’s transport and logistics division- as a trusted organization servicing the transport and logistics sector.


 


The role will be focused on the development of opportunities focused on general and specialised customer clearance, transport, warehousing, logistics and supply chain customer related solutions.


 


In addition to a strong sales and business development background, this person will have the ability to:


  • Achieve new business sales

  • Be a “hunter” and a “farmer”

  • Convert business relationship development activities into sales – close sales in a timely manner

  • Develop and maintain prospective and existing client organisation relationships

  • Strong business development skills demonstrated from experience in a similar role

  • Exceptional presentation skills

 


Domestic and international travel will be required from time to time in this role.


 


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive exceptional external relationships across sectors to deliver revenue expansion with prospective, existing and growing customers

  • You will be able to manage a sales territory and pipeline and have the ability to qualify customers in a timely manner

  • Be actively involved to develop and maintain business development and marketing strategies in Jeddah, other KSA regions and in selected GCC markets

  • Qualify and actively cross sell the organization’s products and services
    Prepare, with support, customer proposals, tenders and contracts to ensure high quality outcomes for our customers (prospective, new and existing customers) and our organisation

  • Be part of the Marketing and Sales team to develop the function’s systems, policies and procedure which contributes towards the organization becoming best practice

  • Provide insights to our organisation’s team on various market and collaboration opportunities

  • Identify, create and manage new business sales opportunities in a proactive and innovative manner

  • Meet agreed new business sales targets

  • Plan, implement and evaluate sales activities

  • Provide reports as required

  • Meet weekly KPIs
