Roles:
• Creating and altering Design ,Construction , As built drawings and Detailed sketches.
• Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with site project Engineer and design consultants.
• Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages, and delivering them to the correct contact in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Drafter will perform the following key tasks:
• Create accurate, detailed technical plans for electrical power & low current and fire alarm systems using computer-aided design (CAD) programs to convert specifications and design information from engineers into schematics and blueprints
• Collect, study and combine rough sketches and initial design ideas from engineers into coherent technical drafts for further study and review by Technical office engineer.
• Prepare comprehensive wiring diagrams for electrical equipment, power substations and residential and commercial buildings according to project objectives, design information and engineering specifications
• Develop Shop Drawings including plans ,isometrics and sections details
• Develop the required Builders work and composite drawings
• Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
• Check that final technical drafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format, and verify that calculations, measurements and units are accurate based on initial design and information from engineers
• Review technical drafts as needed according to verbal or written instructions from technical office engineers or engineering team on site.
• Determine the order of work and the method of presentation, such as orthographic or isometric drawing.
• Assist Technical office engineers as needed in preparing technical documents and presentation slides for meetings with clients and consultant.
• Visit proposed installation sites and draw rough sketches. If required or needed
• Explain drawings to execution or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
• Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
• Accurate, organized and able to work with minimal supervision
• Organizing and uploading drawings to web based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors.
• Create, edit, and update CAD standard details for use in projects
• Write weekly progress reports and draw charts that display statistics and data.
